Our goals are your goals. We want to help you return to the activities you enjoy without those nagging symptoms.

We help women ....

through different phases of life resolve pelvic pain and dysfunction as well as navigate their pregnancy and postpartum journeys.  Getting you back to enjoying your favorite activities with the people you love is important. Maybe you want to pick up and carry your child or grandchild without back pain or pelvic pressure, exercise or laugh/cough/sneeze without leakage, perform work duties confidently, or maybe simply finish the laundry or dishes without pain.

We also help both men and women resolve orthopedic issues and provide prescriptive exercise plans for general wellness visits. Telehealth (online session) may also be utilized during a plan of care to allow the therapist to better implement techniques with functional activities into your home environment for lasting changes. You can say yes to completing work tasks, gardening/working in the yard, lifting heavy objects properly, performing household activities, going for a walk, dominating a workout, and simply enjoying life.

Pelvic Health

The pelvic floor has muscles that just like anywhere else in your body need to be fine-tuned with correct stretches and strengthening exercises for optimal function. But it really takes a full body approach that addresses alignment, posture, mobility, muscular function, breathing, and maybe most importantly- stress to deliver lasting relief and improvement. Pelvic floor muscles directly affect bowel and bladder function as well as sexual health. Dysfunction of the muscles (weakness, increased tension or tightness, and incoordination) may lead to a variety of issues.

  • Urinary incontinence (leakage)
  • Urinary frequency/urgency
  • Urinary retention or hesitation
  • Constipation
  • Tailbone pain
  • Pelvic organ prolapse (pelvic pressure/heaviness)
  • Pain with intercourse or tampon insertion
  • Vaginismus/Vulvodynia
  • Pelvic Venous Disorder
  • Diastasis Recti (abdominal separation causing weakness and bulging)
  • Hysterectomies and other abdominal surgeries

Orthopedics

Quality physical therapy can be a valuable instrument in treating orthopedic issues. Promoting mobility and strength and improving posture and body mechanics can help prevent injuries and set you up for better success in many areas. We want to help you return to an active lifestyle without the nagging symptoms.

  • Neck pain/headaches

  • Back/hip/SIJ pain

  • Knee/ankle pain

  • Balance impairments

Pregnancy/Postpartum Care

The body undergoes significant changes during pregnancy, delivery, and postpartum. Prenatal and postpartum rehab can help women navigate these challenges with more confidence and less lingering symptoms. Birth preparation provides valuable knowledge and techniques to give the mother more control throughout the birthing process and possibly decrease the risk for birth-related complications. We want to help you feel your best as you support and care for your family.

  • Neck/back/hip/SIJ/ pelvic pain
  • Sciatica
  • Pubic Symphysis Dysfunction
  • Diastasis Recti (abdominal weakness/bulging/hernia)
  • Incontinence (leakage with coughing/ sneezing/ laughing/ exercising)
  • Pelvic organ prolapse (pressure/heaviness)
  • Constipation
  • Varicose veins
  • Scar from C-section or perineal tearing
  • Birth preparation

Although her background is in orthopedics (and loves treating her ortho folks), Lillie specifically has a passion for helping women. As a mother of 4 children, she has experienced how the core and pelvic floor are affected through pregnancy and birth and understands that pelvic floor issues can be very personal and sensitive matters. At Deep Roots PT, Lillie fosters a welcoming and comfortable environment to make her patients feel at ease. Preventative care is also a very integral part of Lillie’s treatment approach. She considers it a great privilege to build relationships and be a part of the healing process that brings people happiness through improved function. She truly appreciates every individual who trusts their health and wellness with her care. Lillie is thrilled to be providing these services to her home community and increasing pelvic health awareness and education.

Lillie strives to continue learning and implementing current evidence and clinical based practices to provide the best care for her clients. Lillie is pursuing a certification to become a Pregnancy and Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist. She is also working toward becoming certified in the Mulligan Manual Therapy Concept.

Lillie prioritizes family and loves spending time with her husband (Joe) and four children: Ruth Anna, Faith, Josie, and Levi. Her roots run deep in agriculture as it has always been an integral part of her life. Lillie and Joe consider it a blessing to raise their family on a farm where cotton, corn, soybeans, wheat, and cattle grow! When she’s not working cows or catching calves, Lillie enjoys gardening, exercising, and boating at the lake.
