Welcome to Deep Roots PT
At Deep Roots we assess the whole person, digging deeper to find and treat the root cause of your problems and help you return to the activities you enjoy without those nagging symptoms.
Are your daily activities interrupted by pelvic issues?
You don’t have to just deal with embarrassing and frustrating issues of
leakage, constipation, prolapse, and pain with intercourse, just to name a few. These issues (especially after pregnancy) are common but not necessarily normal.
If you are seeking conservative treatment to improve these issues, we would
be glad to talk with you on the phone to answer any questions and see if we would be a good fit to work with each other. Deep Roots PT can help give you the tools you need to make lasting changes.
Getting you back to enjoying your favorite activities with the people you love is important. Maybe you want to pick up and carry your child or grandchild (or those heavy infant carriers) without back pain or pelvic pressure, exercise or laugh/cough/sneeze without leakage, or connect with your spouse intimately without pain. Maybe your goal is to simply finish the laundry or dishes without pain or enjoy gardening or going for a walk. We can teach you specific techniques and provide quality therapy to help you meet your goals.
Our Services
Pelvic Health
The pelvic floor has muscles that just like anywhere else in your body need to be fine-tuned with correct stretches and strengthening exercises for optimal function. But it really takes a full body approach that addresses alignment, posture, mobility, muscular function, breathing, and maybe most importantly- stress to deliver lasting relief and improvement. Pelvic floor muscles directly affect bowel and bladder function as well as sexual health. Dysfunction of the muscles (weakness, increased tension or tightness, and incoordination) may lead to a variety of issues.
- Urinary incontinence (leakage)
- Urinary frequency/urgency
- Urinary retention or hesitation
- Constipation
- Tailbone pain
- Pelvic organ prolapse (pelvic pressure/heaviness)
- Pain with intercourse or tampon insertion
- Vaginismus/Vulvodynia
- Pelvic Venous Disorder
- Diastasis Recti (abdominal separation causing weakness and bulging)
- Hysterectomies and other abdominal surgeries
Orthopedics
We provide orthopedic therapy for both men and women. PT can be a valuable instrument in treating orthopedic issues. Implementing good movement patterns and improving posture can help prevent injuries and set you up for better success in many areas. For example, using good body mechanics while gardening/working in the yard, lifting heavy objects, and performing household activities can eliminate many preventable aches and pains.
- Neck pain /headaches
- Back/hip/SIJ pain
- Knee/ankle pain
Pregnancy/Postpartum Care
The body undergoes significant changes during pregnancy, delivery, and postpartum. Prenatal and postpartum rehab can help women navigate these challenges with more confidence and less lingering symptoms. Birth preparation provides valuable knowledge and techniques to give the mother more control throughout the birthing process and possibly decrease the risk for birth-related complications. We want to help you feel your best as you support and care for your family.

With my second baby I tore terribly, a third-degree tear that took many stitches and 8 weeks recovery. This time, I delivered my baby at home with the help of gravity, stretches, and everything I’ve been taught and only had 1 little stitch. ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ So thank you for all your help!”

What makes Deep Roots PT unique?
- You will receive one-on-one direct treatment from a Doctor of Physical Therapy who specializes in women’s pelvic health. You will not be passed off to another therapist or aide.
- Sessions are at least 60 minutes versus shorter 30–45-minute sessions at most other clinics. This allows the therapist adequate time to implement an individualized plan of care tailored to each client's specific needs.
- The treatment rooms and waiting area are calming and cozy (putting clients at ease) compared to a loud and crowded clinic.
- All communication is directly with your physical therapist instead of through a phone service or other employee. This simplifies all processes and avoids confusion allowing for smoother communication.
- We truly appreciate your business and will strive to provide top notch customer service and care. You are not just another number.
- We take a whole-body approach and don’t have to just treat one body part at a time. Your body is a whole unit, and being able to address multiple issues at once helps us get to the root cause of the problem and speed up recovery.
- If childcare falls through, instead of cancelling your appointment and slowing progression, you are welcome to bring your kids/baby to your session. This will help enable you to stay on track.
- We try to make your home exercise program as functional and precise as possible, plugging it into your daily activities. We understand that time is precious!
-
Deep Roots PT follows a specific method that will help you overcome your issues. DRPT Method:
- Decrease pain and tension
- Re-establish better movement patterns
- Progress strengthening, coordination, and endurance
- Thrive in function

Lillie and Joe consider it a blessing to raise their family on a farm where cotton, corn, soybeans, wheat, and cattle grow! When she’s not working cows or catching calves, Lillie enjoys gardening, exercising, and boating at the lake.
